a little about us

We fell in love in New York City! Our paths crossed at work in March 2014 - Amy just joined the ad agency Marcus was already working at and during their first team meeting, they became instant best friends (literally, Amy told Marcus that day they were going to be BFFs).

There was no denying we had a strong connection, it was obvious to everyone. We built a special bond over months of friendship and fell so deeply in love with each other. Finally, at a concert in March 2015, we were honest about our feelings and how much we wanted to be together. Marcus quit a few months later and we’ve been inseparable ever since.

OUR LIFE TOGETHER

Starting our relationship in NYC was so meaningful. We were constantly together exploring the city, getting to know each other’s friends and family, supporting each other as we moved up in our careers, and of course a ton of partying. Our weeks were full of trying restaurants, going to concerts, museums, studio workout classes, and cooking new recipes. We laughed through it all and quickly learned that everything we did in life was better when we were together. Once Amy’s lease was up in June 2017, she moved into Marcus’s Midtown apartment.

We decided to take a big step and move to out west together March 2018. Given that we both love the great outdoors, sunny southern California was the perfect place for us and Los Angeles became our new home. We spent our days hiking through the rolling hills of Malibu and countless long drives along the beautiful Pacific Coast Highway. Our memories of California are filled with fun times with friends, amazing views, and waking up every day to perfect weather. Moving so far away from the east coast wasn’t easy, but we always had each other. Our relationship strengthened even more as we became our own family unit.

We love new experiences and are happiest when we are traveling the world together. We love planning trips and ended 2019 by exploring Southeast Asia. Then after living with both our families for a few months during the 2020 pandemic, we decided to travel full time and give up our LA lease to live nomadically. In our tiny convertible, we drove all over the country - up the West Coast, as north as Montana, throughout the Colorado Rockies, to the unique Utah deserts. We ended our 4-month road trip by picking up our precious dog, Meadow. We spent that winter raising our sweet girl as snowbirds in Florida. Then, took our second road trip as a family of 3 and lived in Arizona Spring 2021. We are grateful to have spent all this time together in some of the most beautiful places in the world.

ENGAGED

An ideal evening for us is enjoying the sunset at a super scenic viewpoint with a bottle of wine, delicious snacks, listening to music, and having deep conversations. We do these scenic picnics all over the world and on 4.3.21 Marcus proposed at the Grand Canyon!! That night was a perfect balance of being peaceful, romantic, and goofiness. Marcus always loved making travel recap videos and gave this to Amy that evening to reflect on their time out west. That night had a lot of heartful tears and of course, ended with fries from McDonald’s.

And the rest is history

Before moving back to the East Coast, we spent 6 weeks traveling across Egypt, United Arab Emirates, Kenya, Mozambique, and South Africa. It was a once in a lifetime type of trip and we’re thankful to have those experiences together. We moved to the Hudson Valley and bought our first home in January 2022 - and have been renovating it ever since. We look forward to growing our family there and can’t wait to make memories at our new home with everyone in the years to come.
